This is the official home of "Mafia Animals", a project conceived and executed by Nick Rudnicki.
This whole thing was a logical, albeit extreme, extension of the Animals project that I have been developing for over a year now. Mafia Animals is the elaborate answer to the question : "how far can I take this?"
The tragic story of Sammie the gangster. Having grown jaded and fed-up with his life in the gang, he decides that today is the beginning of the rest of his life. He will betray his brothers by snatching "the case" and run off to start his new and exciting life. Sadly, life is not that simple.
From initial brain storm to final delivery, this bad boy took 6 months. Securing cast, location, wardrobe, props. Scheduling. Test shoots. Co-ordinating schedules. Dealing with weather. Dealing with car calamities. Dealing with the city and province to get location and firearms permission. PHEW.
And then once everything was in-camera, there was the epic saga of actually creating these complex composite images. THAT took another 2 months. But now, it is finished, and I am delighted to share it with the world!
